• Create a game where they have to find each object by counting them out loud (e.g., “one orange,” “two bananas,” etc.). This will also help them build their vocabulary skills as well as improve their memory skills since they’ll need to remember what each item looks like if they want to win the game.
• Make songs about counting with rhymes that go along with each number (e.g., “One, two, buckle my shoe; three, four, shut the door; five, six, pick up sticks”).
